Hello group,
I have just bought a 2002 F150 CC SB. The driver side headlamp assembly pivots back into the grille at the top (headlight aims high). I looked at the backside of the assembly (under the hood) and see that there is a metal bracket missing on the driver side assembly..
My question is; can this metal piece be replaced an is this the reason for the pivoting? Thanks in advance for any assistance
Hard to say without knowing exactly what bracket you are referring to. But, certainly if the bracket supports the upper adjustment, then yes, it could allow it to rotate back. If you hold the pieces that the bracket would normally hold, does the light rotate back? If not, then you have found the culprit!
In looking at the passenger side, there are 2 such brackets, each positioned behind the adjustment posts, upper and lower. The upper bracket is missing on the driver side
