i have a 99 mazda b 3000 4x4 3.0 liter moter automatic was backing up one day and lost reverse all foward gears are fine except it has no back pressure in 1st but going foward in first works fine any help would be great
I think your band strut fell out of place. That would kill reverse and 'Low' engine braking.
If you want, you can try to put it back in place by removing the servo cover, using a phillips to maneuver the band into place, and small nosed pliers to put the strut back in place, and then replacing the servo and rod. It CAN be done if you want to avoid pulling the transmission. The adjustment for that band is made by lengthening or shortening the servo piston rod. Some may have adjustments with 'E-clips' on the end of the rod at the piston.
Other than that, park where you don't need reverse...
