my friends 1999 f150 4.6l auto lost reverse last night and is slipping in foward. is it dead ? we did a filter and fluid swap on it with no luck, anything else befor we go to a rebuild? and recomendations on a rebuild kit?

 

No reverse condition is a mechanical problem. Check the linkage to make sure it is in the reverse position. If the linkage is ok the problem just about has to be inside the transmission.
