i have been looking to add more storage space for my center console and was wondering if anyone has done a 2008 console conversion in thier truck? ive been reading up and seen that a few people have done it and i was wondering if anyone here has. is it like a simpe plug and play or is there modifications to be done? i realy like the look and would love to do it if anyone has done this before any info you guys have would be greatly appreciated!

Done it twice. The console that currently resides between my seats is one I bought, painted and installed in my 04 then swapped into my 06. As long as you get the brackets it is a very easy install. If you currently have bucket seats the arm rests will rub. Not terrible but it will rub. The console is huge. I cleaned mine out the other day and had like 25cd's a few usb cables for my phone, tuner and gps, a boc of kleenexs, tylenol few pack of gum a tuner gloves etc. The 08 console is larger in about every aspect. It is taller and will allow you to put a 44 oz drink in the cup holder securely. I think in my albums I have pictures. I can post up the pictures of the original install if you want or awnser any questions you have.

Wow lol, how much was yours and where did you get it? I found a few on ebay but their $500 and I don't want to spend that much on a console.

I've got one in my garage that I'll sell you. It's all tan except for the cup holder area, has all the brackets, and is in good condition. If you're interested just PM me.

i think it looks alot better in the 2005+ trucks because of the black accents in the interior.

i used a scotch bright pad to scuff it up from the kitchen... wiped it with rubbing alcohol, then used what was left from my gauge pod paint. i put 3 coats and so far it is holding up really well even around the cupholders. the only place i have any issues with the paint is where it rubs the armrest right belos the black rubber top and where my seatbelt rubs the console. i didnt like the colors being off and i really didnt like the cup hold area being dark. i was almost to the point of trying to paint the top the dark brown color of the dash on the 99-04 trucks or get a leather cover to offset the black. then once i installed it it didnt look to bad inb my 04. in the 06 it looks factory installed because of the black dash accents
