I also did the '08 console swap in my '06. The only problem I have is not being able to put both armrests down. I can put mine down but the passenger is at a loss. Anyone know of a way to get a little extra space to allow both armrests to be down?
My idea would be to slot the seat bolts to allow them to move 1/4 od a inch or so twards the driver and pasenger doors. I just leave the arm rest up in my truck. If I could only train the wife to do the same.
also how far back does the console go compared to my current one its the 40/20/40 console and ive got a subwoofer box that touches the back will the other console be set back or with it be fine?
just wondering if anyone here that has done the conversion has the middle seat? would love to do that kinda conversion but i have a Super cab so not sure if it would work

Thanks a lot for the suggestion. Im probably going to give that a try. But as long as my armrest is working then thats all that matters I guess.

Just got back from GA with the console and that might be a fairly big issue. Mine has cupholders in the front AND the rear which makes it about 5 inches longer than the consoles without the rear cupholders. That puts the front of the console pretty much in the front dash if you move it forward enough to clear your sub box since it touches the current center seat.
I wouldn't be slotting seat mounts ,, in a wreck you want it exactly as engineered .. could you imagine the seat comming loose in a wreck ?
plus it looks difficult because of the way brackets locate in the center of the stud
