The next day a Ford representative called me and gave me the information I needed over the phone and also sent me a build list with all the options my truck was ordered with through the mail, which I received within a few days. There is also an 800 number that a lot of folks use as well.
I just wanted everyone to know that I clicked on the link above in the second post, and went to the site. I did not fill out the email request/questionare, but if you scroll down to the bottom of the page, and the bottom left is says, Contact Ford. If you click on the words "Contact Ford", it will take you to another page with some phone numbers. I called the 800 number, and spoke to a live person. She asked me some questions, and my address, email, VIN #, and so on. She had my window sticker pulled up, and was looking at it. My truck is a 2001 by the way. She did not have the authority to email it to me. They want to make sure you are who you say you are. Today while I was out, another lady from Ford called, and left a voicemail saying that a copy of my window sticker with the standard options, as well as all of the options my truck has, including the MSRP, was on the way, and I should have in in a week to ten days. They are mailing it to me, and at no cost to me. So, if you have a truck more then five years old, and you can't use the web site they have to download your window sticker, you should give them a call and you can get your own. Thanks for the info.
I called the 800 number listed and talked to a very helpful woman who is putting my build sheet in the mail tomorrow morning. Should have it in hand in 7-10 business days!
I'd be interested to hear what they sent you. I did something similar and got a letter showing what options the truck had but not the actual window sticker.
yeah, I'm just getting a build sheet, not the actual window sticker with MSRP listed. She said you had to be the original owner to get a copy of the original window sticker, why I don't know.
That said, is there another way to find out what the original MSRP on the truck is?
It was the most accurate tool I could find on the internet that would actually caclulate the MSRP taking into account all the options. Just change the options to match your truck and you should have a fairly good idea.
