"You can request a build sheet from the Ford Owner Connection. If you haven't signed up, do so and then go to "Contact Us" after you log in and then there will be the option to contact them by e-mail. Then there are several options for e-mail subjects. I used the vehicle-related one. Then in the comment/question/request form, explain that you bought your truck used and that you would like a build sheet. I had a reply within several days.
Since you mentioned the rear end, check out Keith Anderson's article, Identifying Your Rear Differential. This is an easy way to find out what sort of rear end your truck has.
Your VIN sticker on the driver's side door also has some information about your truck. You can look at that and compare some of that to some tables in your owner's manual to learn even more about your truck.
