I have an 05 f250 just changed bad injector. Truck ran fine for a couple of days then started missing. I notice this happens after truck runs for a while any suggestions?
Any codes?
Any mods?
Have you verified that batteries are strong (load test individually)?
Have you checked FICM voltages?
What oil do you use and how old is it?
How old are your fuel filters?
Drained the primary fuel filter recently to check fuel quality?
Do you have gauges - like a fuel pressure gauge?
Batteries good, no codes, using rotella 15w40,drained primary fuel and changed filters 2 oil changes ago. I do not have a fuel pressure gauge, found an oil pressure gauge at harbour freight will that work?

You'll need a 100psi gauge and a 12m X 1.5 thread adapter to screw into the fuel pressure test port.
You may or may not have codes depending on your code reader. Check all the electrical connections between the FICM and the injector you replaced. If it's really missing it should show some kind of code or indicator why. You might also try individually disconnecting the injectors to find out which cylinder is missing.
I have a theory that injectors that are factory (and not abused) wear pretty evenly.
If you buy my theory, if one is dying, the rest is not far behind.
Your thoughts?
Since I am on original injectors.. I am not a good candidate to answer this.
Possible for sure. I am not really knowledgeable enough to comment though. I know Ford made sure that their procedures did not call for replacing every weak injector if one next to it was bad. This may have just been to minimize warranty costs though.
Replacing all the injectors would be a tough call for me if I only had one or two bad injectors showing up - just because of the cost. If I had the cash and the engine had 150k miles on it or so - then maybe. I guess also if I were close to going for HP upgrades (requiring aftermarket injectors) I would probably choose that time to replace them all (rather than invest in several stock ones and then have to replace them soon afterwards for the HP upgrades).
reading a power balance is not always simple. depending on how many and what the real cause is you can issues from the cyclinder next to, behind or 180* out from the real concern.
replacing a failed injector can also have a drastic effect on fuel pressure as well.
Maybe. You could have partially plugged filters or partially plugged suction line contributing to low pressure. As cheezit stated a drastically leaking injector can cause the pressure to drop.
