Need 7.3 help
My buddy just bought a 2002 7.3, and aparently the turbo sucked up the air filter.
Its blowing white/ slightly blue smoke.
Its pushing oil out the dip stick.
Does this sound like a compresstion ring problem or what?
He wants to sell the engine and put a cummins in it.
I was thinking about buying the 7.3, fix/rebuild it, and put it in my 74 ford ranchero.
Need some opinions, is it worth it, and what would it cost to rebuild

The 7.3 engine assembly weighs 900+ LB.

I am well aware of the weight. I can modify the suspention if needed.
I'll stop by his house this evening and check it out.
I would rather have the extra weight, I gain better mileage and good power.

If you're gonna modify the suspension anyway, just put the engine behind the cab...better traction that way

took the oil cap off and it was puffing.
What would it cost to have it re-sleved?
