Does anyone know if you can flip the front spring mount on the rear springs to lower the rear ride height. I know its riveted to the frame, but ive alread taken mine off and scooted it up the frame(about a year ago).Seems like ive heard of flipping it but not sure if it will work on a 54
I did it on my 51 front and rear hangers but you have to get the main leaf reversed arched to have the spring eyes wind from the top to the bottom if that makes sense.
If not the spring binds in the hanger. I removed a couple springs and had new bushings and spring pins put in when they were at the spring shop.
If your 54 has the same hangers and spring design it should do the same thing.
You can look at my webshots page near the back to see my truck with the bed off to see what I did to mine.
