Volare Clip Alignment Question:

Has anyone grafted a Volare clip into a 58 F100. I know that 54 – 56 f100 is well documented, but I have a 58 and Volare clip.

I’m also looking for someone that knows where the Volare axle center point is, or how to locate it without any spindles on the K frame. I’m looking for a reference point to measure off.

Thanks for the reply.
I found two resources after I posted my questions.

The First was my post on the HAMB form, which I received a reply from someone that the K frame center was one inch in front of the center point of the rear biscuit holes. This looked very close.
The second was a call to Bob’s F100 shop. I found in a couple articles that they do this install all the time. The first time I called, whoever picked up the phone was in a real bad mood, because they didn’t give up any information. After a couple days of coming up short on my quest, I called again and actually talked to Bob himself. He was a real nice guy, and was more than happy to help in any way. In fact he had a template for all F100’s models, which I purchased one for my 58. It was expensive for literally a sketch on butcher’s paper, but it gave me the points that I needed. A couple calls back to Bob, who again was very happy to answer all my questions, and I felt confident to start cutting and welding.

On Sunday I cut and welded it into place. I feel the biggest pain point was trying to square everything up into the 58 frame, which took about an hour or so. After the install with the template, the 58 center point lined up almost exactly with the rear bolt holes on the A arms.

So that’s a long winded reply, and sorry about that. On your template where do you show the center point?
