u-joint noise

u-joint noise

I was driving last weekend and noticed a noise from the transfer case forward that sounds like a u joint going south. I took the front drive shaft out and didnt notice any slop in the joints, checked all the fluids. ANY IDEAS?

As long as it's out you might as well replace the u-joints as a precaution and see if the noise is gone.

i changed the front u-joints, still have the same noise

Did you try driving it with the front driveshaft out of the truck? I only say this to try and eliminate areas to check.
