1993 E-350 E40d

so i have a 7.5l (460) has the E40D in it ?can i put other e40d in it ? what motors will match up? can i put a C6 in it ? did ford put 5-spd in these would rather it be a standard, i have a lot of weight in it but over all what are my options?

You can put another E4OD in there. It must come from another 460. A small block or diesel trans won't bolt to a 460.

You can put a C6 in there with some modifications. Once again it has to have come from a 460.

Ford didn't put a manual in the '93 vans.

Older vans had manuals. I don't know what year was the last.

Yes, the did. I had a 75 with a 300/6 3 on the tree. It got 22mpg.

The old body style 91 and older vans were available with a manual transmission. None of the newer body style that I know of except a few done by a 4x4 conversion companies.
