Spud shaft,
Hello all,
I'm needing your help, I have a 1997 F-super-duty (F450) 4X4 with a S5-47 transmission and a 4470 transfer case.
It was converted by Marmon-Herrington to 4X4 and now my spud shaft is striped out and they don't have them any more.
I know that the output shaft is 31 spline but what I need to know is will a slip yoke from a C6 drive shaft fit on the shaft of the trans?
My thinking is to use the slip yoke part and cut off the rest and weld it on to the damaged end of my spud shaft then reinforce it.
I'm thinking the slip yoke will work but don't know if it will fit?
I did a lot of searching on this and found no answer nor a company that makes the adapter hens-forth i have to repair what i have.
