Ok so im torn between the 5k and 6k bulbs. i like how white the 5ks r but i like the little hint of blue in the 6ks cause i figure the blue will kinda help me cut throw the constant snow and fog im in either at home or school. any preferences from you guys in this kinda weather or performance other wise?
Really you cant tell the difference between 5k vs 6k. I run 5k an they cut threw the fog an snow just fine. I live in oregon to an going over the pass at night they really help me till my aftermarket adjusters broke an my headlight was pointing to the ground.

Hmm ok then i might go with the 5k so i dont look like a ricer with the blue headlights. And what pass do u go over? so you know the kinda weather i go through i live like 15 minutes north of salem and we get such lovely weather up there and down here in k falls its all snow and ice lol and going over the pass with some HIDs would be freaking awesome uhh.
Yea chase if you could look that would be cool. I had the same thing wrong with mine but my bulb went bad as my ballast went out it only happen on the drivers side i check the ground an the ballast wires an they were good so i dont know what went wrong but ddmtuning replace my stuff for free just need to pay shipping. O yea an GO DUCKS.
Mine are installed with the wire toward the bottom of the headlight housing.
Thx chase mine to i just did not know if that affected the way the high an low works i cant really tell if the bulb pops up an down or tilts up an down. An blake i went over the pass to hoodoo.

Neither, the bulb retracts when you turn on the high beams to change the focal point.
Chase i dont understand how they work if you could eathier explain or give me a good website so i can get the best out of my hids. I am still not sure on how to adjust the beams.

The connector that plugs into the stock headlight wiring needs to be set up like so in order to have the "low beams" and "high beams" of the HID's work correctly:
So if you are wired right as per that pic, when you turn on your head lights the ballasts fire and ignite the bulbs. The bulbs a magnetic base, when you turn on the high beams the bulb actually retracts into the base some, moving the focal point of the bulb and changing the beam pattern. There isn't anything like a standard light bulb has that actually increases light output when you turn on the high beams... it only changes how the light is cast.
This is all assuming that you paid the few extra bucks for a high/low kit when you placed your order...
