Ok so a while back had my truck in a truck shop and the guy there recomended i get new lenses and an HID kit because my lenses were about as clear as mud. so for chits and gigles i have been searching online for them, but was wondering what someof you guys have used or seen and liked? Because the kit he had there he said cost about $125 and that seemed pretty high to me.
I recommend the HID kits from retro solutions. They are top notch quality. The ballasts, bulbs, everything is very nice
Yea travis and james i have read a couple threads about HIDs where u guys and maybe a few others were talking about the retro solutions and said they were great. and the theme behind HID's is u get what u pay for, so these gotta be great. especially compared to those $35 craigslist kits.
Oh and i should have pasted this link earlier but i found these while searching some threads for HID's. I believe it was Stokeorcroak that bought these lenses back in december off ebay and i love the way they look. Jeremy o like those too, i have been looking for the clear lense kits for our trucks. but heres the lenses i love and kinda need now lol 92-96 FORD F-150 F250 BRONCO PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS 1PC - eBay (item 140442855481 end time Jan-16-11 18:01:15 PST)
I have a DDM Raptor kit in my truck. 55w 5000k. The kit is of average quality, my major gripes with the kit were a lack of any instructions at all (needed for the plug that connects to the factory headlight plug) and the lack of mounts for the ballasts. My other big gripe with DDM is their approach to customer service. I have/had a ballast that was going intermittent on me and they would not send me a replacment without charging me a non-refundable fee. It quit flaking out on me so I still haven't sent it back in for a replacement...
I did a thread on my install, you should be able to dig it up pretty easily with a quick search.
I agree with chase i have the same kit in my truck as he dose so now my brights are my lows an my lows are my highs.
That's an easy fix, you just have to swap the wires in that connector that plugs into the factory headlight plug. If you go check out my install post it shows a photo of what wires need to go where. There is also something on DDM's web site.
yea it is ok tho i will not lose any sleep over it just kind of lame that they dont even tell you how the bulb goes in. Dose the t on the top of you bulb face up or down?

The website is ddmtuning.com. The kit is working great for me right now, not sure why my intermittent issue disappeared but I suspect its a grounding problem.
