auto trans choices
Does anyone know of an adapter to put an auto overdrive trans other than the e4od on the IDI? Anything thats not electronic, like a 700r4, AOD? I know both these trans can be built tough. Thanks, Mike

Not that I know of. I agree they can be built up but this isn't something that enough are interested in to bother with making adapters. Most are more interested in swapping from auto to manual.
Some have used older allison transmissions but I don't know of those are capable of giving you an overdrive top gear. The examples we saw were all direct drive AFAIK.

A E4OD can be built too. I mean another option is go to the next gen auto trans and use that (the 4R100). You'll have to reuse some of your E4OD parts, but the trans itself is pretty strong in stock form.
