OEM Ford CD Player

Anyone know if a OEM Ford CD Player that was installed with premium sound can be used in a XL truck that only came with a AM/FM radio truck?

I would really like to have this too, but I don't think it will work with out adding the premium sound amp and wiring.

I bet Subford knows the answer.

I think all of the OEM Ford CD Players for our era needed the premium sound amp and wiring.
I took the premium sound amp and wiring out of a 1994 E-series van and mounted the premium sound amp in the passengers kick panel on my 1995 F-series truck. That is where it was mounted on the 1994 van.

I've never really seen how the premium sound was hooked up. Will the factory premium amplifier plug in to the factory wiring thats already there for the cassette deck?

NO. a Factory CD player has an external amp(the radio its self has none). So unless you changed the whole under dash wiring it will NOT work
