rear end specs

rear end specs
i looked at the tag on my rear end and it had the specs in a way im not customed to.
on the top of the tag was this
S (or 5) 837B
and on the bottom of the tag was this
L 55 88 1J05.
I couldnt get a real clear picture but im not sure how to read it.
also on the door jamb it sas

X143
trans
E
Axle
H9
Spring
D57
how do i no what this means?

What you have is a 8.8 ford axle with a 3.55 gear ratio and a limited slip diff.

What you have is a 8.8 ford axle with a 3.55 gear ratio and a limited slip diff.
