In MO, it goes 6k, 12k, 18k. 18k plates give you one plate for the front only, and all the red light cameras around here only take pics from the rear. They cost a little more and you can only get one year plates, and I'm pretty sure I've never been very close to that weight, but it has saved me a number of $100 tickets from short cycling lights in money grubbing muni's. My opinion is those cameras that give you a ticket with no proof that you were actually driving it are unconstitutional. One of these days they're gonna get a picture of me going thru it fflippin' 'em the bird.

In some jurisdictions a red-light camera ticket is not considered a criminal issue but rather a civil and the burden of proof for a civil case is not as stringent as a criminal case.
