I have an 01 V-10 Ex, and I dont think it has the ACC position in the ingnition switch. The manual show that you should be able to turn the key backwards for ACC, but mine only goes clockwise to run and start. No acc position. If I want to listen to the radio while my better half shops, I have to have the ignition in the run position. Am I doing something wrong? Od did some trucks come without this?
Sounds like your tumbler may have something broken or sticking and hindering it from turning to ACC.
There are 3 phillips head screws on the under side of the steering column, take those out, drop the bottom half of the cover, turn the key until you see a shiny ball on the bottom of the tumbler just behind the black plastic shroud, push it with something(a straightened paper clip works well) and pull the unit out, check it for anything broken or sticking. If nothing visible/audible, lightly lube it with white lithium grease, reinstall it and try again.
