AOD transmission question

Hi all, I have a 1985 bronco with AOD transmission and 351 that I converted from injection to carb. I need to hook up the tv cable from trans to the carb. I heard that edelbrock has a kit that would work with their carburetor(4bbl).The problem is I used a motorcraft 2bbl carb. Would anyone know if this kit is compatible with motorcraft carb? Thanks in advance for any help.

not sure but worth a shot. you might also scower the wrecking yards for a car running a carbed 5.0/aod setup.

I hope your running a 5.8/aod 28oz flexplate on that motor otherwise you will ruin the tranny.

Thanks Kemicalburns. My mechanic I bounce ideas and questions off of also suggested that. I was on the Summit racing site and think I found the carb linkage adapt kit for $34. Could not find cable so I will call them about that. As to your question about the flexplate I dont know the size as I bought Bronco not running and current 351 was already installed. The original motor was 5.0. at least thats what fan belt routing sticker by radiator said. I could verify this by checking vin # though. Is there anything stamped on flexplate that would tell me witch one I have,28oz or other?

not sure if you can find anything stamped on the flexplate. is there anyway you can get intouch of the original owner and find out. This is major as your tranny will be ruined if its the incorrect one.

also you man not need a new tv cable. i would imagine the one on there will be long enough.

the old cable should work. i i didnt need to change mine as the cable on the efi motor comes all the way around to the front of the engine. just make sure it adjusted correctly.
