F600 lug nut torque
You know all the searching on the net has yielded all sorts of specs for torque except what i'm after. Anyone know the proper torque spec for the wheels on a 79 F600 4x4? Budd wheels, stud pilot.

The fact of it being Ford isn't the issue. Ford just followed what the wheel and attaching parts manufacturers all recommended. Here's the chart from one of that era's Budd catalogs. They say to torque 3/4" x 16 tpi stud piloted components DRY to between 450 and 500 lb/ft. You'll find the same recommendation today in the Accuride on-line catalog on page 44 IIRC. Stu
