Transmission Problem
Hi, my dad and I have a '98 Econoline with a 4.6 Liter. It lately has been having some problems. The OVERDRIVE OFF lamp (TCIL) has been flashing on and off. When we start it, it is fine and it idles as the computer sees fit. Once we drive around town (25-45mph) with regular upshifts and downshifts, the light comes on and flashes after about 10-15 minutes. The light does not go off until the ignition is turned off and back on. I noticed a "clunk" when we downshift and the transmission seems to delay in second. Can anyone give me an idea of what's wrong before we
