auto tranny not shifting
Ok after replacing the rear main seal in my 91 f150 2 wheel drive my trans wouldnt shift out of 1st. I have done everything that i know to do i have even tryed to shift manully and still wouldnt shift what is going on i have never run into anything like this before i thought that the trans was bad so i took it out and got anther and put it in and still does the same thing I could really use some help from a pro that knows about this

Maybe your shift linkage is to far up? and D would be 1, try putting it in Neutral see if it moves.
To know what trans you have, just look at your gear selector:
P R N D 2 1 = C6
P R N (D) D 1 = AOD
P R N (D) 2 1 = E4OD
