Hey, I have a 2008 super duty 6.4 power stroke diesel, F-250. This seems weird because it seems like it only happens when it rains.
After driving highway speeds and stopping, when I accelerate again I have a loss of power, skipping and smoking. When I back off the accelerator and increase the speed slowly everything levels off and when I'm back up to highway speeds, it's fine.
Anyone out there experienced this before? Got a soloution?
Never expeirenced it myself, but you have the classic symptoms of water in your CAC (charge air cooler)

Funny thing is here, the OP had a drivability issue. The Listed TSB was for damp weather white smoke only addresses a white smoke condition and does not identify or correct ANY drivability concerns. Since this topic is over 4 years old we will probably never know what DaBoss2000 ended up finding with his truck. My opinion is that it was likely a fuel system issue or a calibration concern... or both.
For anyone with the white smoke in damp weather concern the TSB was superseded to TSB 11-2-2
I had this same problem, had the truck looked at in 2009, and they couldn't replicate the issue so they sent me packing. (It wasn't raining that day) Found out later, can't remember how, that it didn't need to be replicated. So I took it back, and lo and behold it was raining that morning and someone who works there was behind me when I took off from a red light and he was hammered with the white smoke. CAC was replaced. Problem has come back off and on over the years so I feel there is more to it than just the CAC having water in it.
