i got my airtex online but i cant remember the wesite. everyone on here was recommending it at the time. i think the pump was like 120 bucks or something.....
Upon further review I would go oem since my Airtex northern auto pump just crapped out on me after 1.5 years. Got my new oem pump from clay......

Curious if yours are Made in USA if not Airtex?
Side note. While purchasing parts recently, i had to shop a couple of parts stores in order to find and buy Made in USA products.
I have noticed even NAPA is flooded with China and imported parts from others (NOT impressed).
This is totally your call, but you do not need the fan clutch wrench.
I have a shop and I don't own one, never needed it!
If you have an air hammer, get a straight punch in it and rap the nut a few times in the direction you want it to go. I have removed fan clutches from all kinds of vehicles like this. Works like a charm!
You can tighten it by hand, and when it runs, it will tighten itself more.
X2, seen it done this way also. looked simple.
Mine was replaced before I bought the truck, and my fan nut has some marks from an air hammer.
Thats the way I would do it.
And what do you mean it was in the 20's........ It better warm up by weds...

Hey Frank,
Your Good, I started this Thread back in Jan. It.s been in the mid 60s to low 70s here lately.
I went with a airtex from rockauto.com, think it was $77 bucks. Also go ahead and buy the billet aluminum housing from dieselsite.com, it will save you time and stress over tring to reuse the stock one. I have a discount code for rock auto if you want to use it. Just pm me.
That right your going to be there Wednesday!
I was thinking the same thing 20's?
It was 89 here in Houston yesterday!
It was 88 here today, (which feels like 98 in the house) it was the first day in the past week that I had the A/C off, and both dogs were laying in front of the fan most of the day.
I went with OEM when I replaced mine not too long ago. I figure if my original one lasted 200k, the next one should last a while too. Bought an OEM from Clay at RiffRaff for about 1/2 the price of a dealer. I used a fan clutch wrench which turned the fan removal portion into a 5 minute job. While I had everything off I replaced my serpentine belt (Goodyear Gatorback is the only way to go), tensioner and both idler pulleys since I've got 200k on the odometer.
