We paid $3200 for our '94 EB 5.8. But it needed shocks, tires and a trans service. It had a little rust over the right rear wheel well and it needed a good reconditioning in and out (what is it with people who try to sell a dirty vehicle?). About $1400 later, we have a sweet, great running Bronco. I think most of the decent ones are right around $5k (or more), at least in this part of the country, more $ with lower mileage (our had 138k). Happy hunting!

I just picked up a super clean 93 EB 5.8 with leather, paid 7300. Needs a few little things but overall real nice. I have been looking since November and everything around my area (Detroit) was pretty much junk. had to drive to Kentucky to get this one. No rust on the quarters or gate at all. Saw a lot of junk vehicles people wanted 5 grand for.

Say what you will. I have been looking for months for something decent. I am very picky. Look at Ebay, CL or any of the Trader type sites, any Bronco that has less than 100k on it, has original paint and sheet metal, is a higher trim level (XLT or EB) has been truly taken care of brings a premium. I looked at many trucks in the 4-5k range I wouldnt park in my driveway, tons of rust, beat up interiors, 200k miles. Maybe things are different out in Sacramento, lots of junk out here in the snowbelt. Had it home 2 days and got 2 compliments from strangers on it already.

I can see them going for more in the snow belt where anything older than 10 years is usually a rust bucket. I thought $4k was nuts but the more I look the more I'm starting to realize that I'm not going to be able to get what I used to have for the price I paid 6 years ago.
If you'd told me that the value of my truck was actually going to appreciate I would have told you you were nuts. Now I'm even more pissed at my ex for selling it!

It always gets me thinking about the price of these vehicles when I think about just how old mine is. My dad has a classic '69 Camaro that he purchased brand new. It'd a classic, collectors item.
Then, I think about my Bronco and am blown away when I realize it's only 12 years newer than that '69, and is 30 years old in and of itself.
They're only going to get older, and they're known to be some of the best rigs you can get. Good ones are going to be harder and harder to find, and the price is going to go up for the ones that are.

Apparently I need to reset my expectations. I am searching on ebay for sold Broncos to see what they are going for and I see:
A super nice '95 XLT with a 302 and a manual: $10,000

This is nuts. I bought my near-mint '90 EB 5.8 in 2005 for $3500.

My 96 EB that I had 6 or 7 years ago came to me with 58k miles, from south florida with not one spec of rust... hell, it looked like it had literally rolled off the assembly line a week previous. I paid $14k for it....

Hey, andym, I've been surfing through CL and a few other sites for Broncos in my area and the prices I'm pulling are more in line with what you are looking to pay. I'm in St. Louis if folks don't know that by now.
