Again, be safe. A lot of people just refuse to slow down. John, do you happen to know a fella that was doing "motorist assistance" or something like that. Met him at a rest stop, S of Arcadia along 81, a few years ago. My 89 Squire wagon had a little problem. He had a 51 Ford Pick up that he put on a Bronco frame and running gear.
Not familiar with anyone George. They only recently started doing the motorist assitance thing in this part of the state in the last year or two. I'm all the way down next to the NC line about 80 miles southwest of Roanoke.
You're right about how people drive in this stuff. Too many people are overly confident and feel invincible only to find out that their skills aren't as good as they thought. And everyone's in a hurry to get where they're going.
We looked at a lot of places around Wytheville, Bland, Bluefield, Hiwassee, Marion, Pearisburg etc before ending up in Stuart. Found a place we really liked in Bland County (Mechanicsburg) but somebody beat us to it. You know your in the hills when a guy on horseback comes out of the woods carrying a bow across the saddle.

Hahahaha!! Yeah, happens around here a lot. I'm in Wytheville. I like it here and after working a 12 hour shift, it's nice to drive 6 blocks home.
We would usually stop at Wytheville on the way down and back to Jacksonville, FL. There was one empty garage in town that the oldest boy always thought would make a good repair shop. Last I saw it the roof caved in.
Good morning VA. We got about 1 1/2" here in Stuart. John, if I remember correctly it was a white block building with maybe 2-3 bays and an office area. No gas pumps in sight. Scott's going to be busy shoveling today. Get ready Steve, the white stuff is coming your way.
