When I start roaming I'll look around. There's a guy around here was looking and ended up with a 87 style. I put a 92 bed on my 79, and a friend put a 2001 on his 73, single color so they didn't look too bad. But, not for the purist.

yeah i know exactly what you mean by not for the purist. when i got mine it had an 86 bed on it. i wouldnt have cared if it were a flareside. thanks a bunch. anything in particular your lookin for?

Wife says buying time is over until I get some projects done. Picked up a 8' bed a couple of years ago in Martinsville for my 79. Have you tried Lloyd Hodges in Glade Hill? You want a style or flare side??

Maverick---Blacksburg craigslist 79 short bed in Christiansburg 540-257-0616 I was in Roanoke section and searched "1979 ford truck" showed a Blacksburg listing saying 1976 but description says it came off a 79.

Virginia I'm 19. SInce I was 14 I have had a tear brung to my eye three time since. Once when I was 14 when my father gave me his 63 Merc meteor for christmas, then when my granny passed in 08, and today when for the first time since 1992 my 63 Merc has had a set of tires/wheels on it so it will move. We pull backwards about 20 feet and the front drivers brake was locked up had to pull the hub apart. We got her unstuck and moving. Pulled her into the garage starting to pull the old 302/c4 so we use parts on our truck motor. Her floors are rotted and back window busted. My plans are to put her back mostly stock. So if anyone knows of another 63 Metoer 2dr hardtop or a 63 Fairlane 2dr hardtop is with a good back window. In the surounding area of roanoke/lynchburg/danville. Please let me know I need a window ASAP.
I'm off my soapbox. But I feel like a kid in a candy store when We finaly got her off the ground today.

Hey there Finney, My front sump oil pick ups kind of disappeared/relocated. Check with Bill aka Number Dummy. He hangs out in the 61-66 forum, retired parts man. He has a lot of parts books and is able to locate parts if avail. You might have to go by application.
