So, went out this morning to go to work and I have no clutch pedal. Checked the resevoir and its empty. So I assume I've got a leak somewhere. This seems very odd with only 50K miles.
I'm still under the powertrain warranty, Is this something thats going to be covered? Havn't had a chance to contact my dealer yet.
How hard is the tranny to remove and fix this if I have to do it? I looked in the port in the bellhousing, but didn't even see a bleeding screw, or what I thought looked like one.
Call the dealership up and ask. I know clutches are not covered since it is a wear item so they might consider the clutch cylinder and related parts "wear items." You could try and fill the slave cylinder up with fluid and pump the pedal and look for a leak. Thats where I would start. Removing the transmission isn't too different from taking one out of any traditional RWD vehicle.
Thanks for the bleeder location. Didn't see that last night
I checked with my dealer and it is NOT covered. Quoted me $225 labor to install. What you all think? I could do it myself, but is sure is cold out this time of year.
