I'm getting ready to swap a 352 where a 300 used to sit. The truck is a '65 F-250 and has a granny 1st four speed, I believe it is a 435 but I haven't confirmed that yet. The donor truck has a 352 and three speed. Based ona post by numberdummy, it looks like the bell housing should work on the four speed but I was curious if the flywheel and clutch assembly will work? If so which starter would I use? Lastly, can the motor be pulled with the bell housing attached or does the motor need to be out first?
--CLUTCH PLATE may work, check the input splines to make sure they match.
--engine can be pulled with bell, and manytimes with bell and trans all together, though this can get messy due to the angle you have to tilt the whole thing to clear the core support etc. If you pull the trans first, it will make pulling the engine easier as it will not have to move forward to clear the input shaft, and you won't tear up the clutch disc or break the input bearing collar if things go wrong.
