trap AH-HA so you cruise the kiji ads also! never noticed before you were from "the hat"
but yes i got that one and its acualy in oliver b.c. and if its in as good as shape as the pics the seller has being sending me its a very good rust free find! and it gets picked up this week by a car hauling co from calgary, deliverd to edmonton and i will pick it up from there to bring back to fox creek [2.5 hrs west of edmonton] i can hardly wait! its like xmas again! and the fellow was so happy it was going to a home where it would be looked after and restored "back to its glory days" i mailed him pics of my trucks and every day he wants more!
f250 i would have a ball looking through your yard! i dont have any parts trucks [yet lol]
heh, you should see my grandfathers place - an early 60's (don't know the exact year) 5x 66's, 3x 65's, 68 70, 72, 75 that runs CNG, 76, 81, 92, 03 dodge w/20k, 05 5.9 cummins w/13k, 08 w/2k - and that's just the trucks that are drivable. The only one that doesn't run is the 70, needs a flywheel. The 72 has a 410 merc engine. Lots of FE's. Probably 15 or more runnable cars. Unfortunately, he passed away in July. One of these days, I should put up some pictures. I'm probably forgetting a few, there are just too many.
Good score ... looks to need a little TLC , but easy if you have the parts and know how .... It came on the market just after i committed to the bronco i just go from Idaho also , or i would have been all over it ! I'm kinda sweet on the green ones ... probably cuz i got so many green interior parts ....
I've got 9...that are drivable. I actually had to rent a storage unit, because of the complaints I was getting within city limits. The HOA says no more than 3 vehicles per licensed driver. I lived alone. I got sick of my rigs being elsewhere and paying someone else...so I just decided to build a big 'shed' with a couple of lifts and got it down to 3 rigs in the driveway. Now my gf lives with me and my brother is living with me while he goes to school...so that sounds like I can get more rigs. I have 5 parts rigs sitting in my parents back lot...but those aren't going anywhere.
trap will let you know what shape its in when i get it up here you have a bronco also from idaho comming? sweet post or send me some pics and i will do the same regurds joe
I am glad I live out in the sticks on a dead end road, no HOA. I even have a test drive woods course in my 7 acres. All surrounded by my bro-inlaw 350 ish acres so I can really get in the woods is need be.
I do not know how some of you all do it, hats off to ya!
what does hoa mean? never herd that term in alberta the only thing that keeps me from having more trucks is the wife/room issue and even then i am on thin ice as it is as the scs was supposed to be the last one! but i guess i caught her on a good day but shes already talking about driving it and that scares the hell out of me
Home Owners Association. It's common out here in CA.
Basically, it's a private contract among homeowners within a subdivision to abide by certain bylaws. They are typically set up with a board made up of some of the residents within that subdivision. Common restrictions include non-operative vehicles in public view, architectural review requirements, bans on hanging laundry outside, landscaping requirements (like a ban on paving what is supposed to be your front yard), dirty or soiled driveways, limitations on boats, trailers, and other recreational vehicles "stored" in the front of the house, bans on parking on unpaved surfaces, and they usually require monthly dues to fund common area landscape, lighting, and sometimes community facilities like a neighborhood pool and clubhouse.
I'm a City Planner. Local govts typically don't enforce HOA rules because they are private contracts but alot of residents think we do. No effing way we get involved in that sorta crap.
Dang. She got a sister? All I gots out here are prisses who mind their I-phone. I'd be looking for a woman who can change her own oil and clean up well for a night on the town. My ol' girlfriend used to work at the airport and regularly came home smelling like jet fuel and Obsession. It was an interesting mix to say the least.
With HOAs, there are reasonable ones and totally fascist ones. Personally, I won't leave my car up on jackstands or do any hardcore repair in the street. When i do have to leave it unassembled, then I throw a car cover over it to make it look like it's simply protected from the elements. RESPECT.
