Im about the only guy around here any more that collects them.. I got friends scouting the country for me and whenever they find one I buy it. There was another guy that had a bunch but lost about 7 good 4x4s in the Greensburg tornado. Wrapped them around trees, broke frames, transfer cases, axle housings, made me sick and him even sicker. In fact the guy Im talking about to also lost his dad in the tornado...BAD deal..
I am green with envy I just have the one 77 F250 but have gotten rid of so many that it makes me sick to think about it. If you can believe 4 years ago I bought a beautiful 1986 Ford F250 Ext Cab 4X4 with a 6.9 diesel that was in awesome condition. It was a Lariate EVERYTHING WORKED I didn't have to do squate to it. Then I saw a 99 Superduty crewcab with a 6 inch lift that I had to have so I like a STUPID IDIOT sold the 86 to buy the superduty. Come to find out in was so neglected to get it right would have cost me a fortune. The worst part about it is I saw the 86 not long after and the guy I sold it to bought it for his kid and he totaled it. My son was sitting beside me and ask me why I was crying. I have gotten rid of so many nice Fords that I probably deserve to be shot what kills me is then Obama does cash for junkers none they sit waiting to be crushed. How could someone crush these cars so much history.
Yeah I know it how the economy works. Just sad, but I have this 77 and I am determine to make it truck that I can be proud of. I got alot of work ahead of me but everytime I finish something I am proud and feel good about the work I have done. I am glad to be a part of this site gotten alot of useful ideas and encouragement from you folks. One thing I love about Ford owners anywhere if you ever need help or advice there right there with a hand. Looking forward to many years of rewarding times.
Thanks
