have a 2000 excurscion v 10 atoumatic switch on dash turn nswitch nothing happens neutrel brake reverse can,t get it to disengage is there a vacum line or wires that could be disconected or broke and were would i find it any help greatly aprecciated thanks dan
If you are using the procedure above and it still is stuck, your actuation motor is probably bad. here is what it looks like: 2000 FORD EXCURSION Motor
You should be able to get under the X and do it by hand, can't you guys?
update is that the motor is burnt up but the problem is in computereven when the key is off it wants to go in 4wh lowmy mec took 2 relays out so atleast we have 2 wh and can use sad we have to go to ford dealer might possably get away with gem mogel what ever that is our might need more so 279$ later shes 2 wheeler
FWIW, I had a GEM (General Electronic Module) go bad on my old '01 Limited X ... horn & cruise control became inoperable. Funny thing is that the horn would blow with the engine off, but not running. Electronic gizmos ... love 'em AND hate 'em. Good luck getting yours fixed.

Sounds like your X was outsourced to VW for assembly.
