variable venturi

I have a 1982 F-150 351W with a variable venturi carburator. Can anyone please help with advise on what I need to do to swap/install a non-VV carb? Distibutor has tabs at base which to my best guess means non-adjustable. Does that also have to be replaced? any help greatly appreciated.

Your best bet is to post this question in the engine, or f-150 forum.
