I'm looking for a 5th wheel tailgate (drop down opening, for hookup) for my 2011 DRW PU (the trailer will not permit a tail gate down hookup, even with a straght shot (4" short)
(1) What have you Guys/Gals found?
(2) Are there any that will interface (somehow) my factory backup camera screen?
Or are there other cameras I can incorporate into these gates? I am willing to lockpick if needed.
Thx

I have one of the Custom Flow tailgates purchased from Camping World. I wouldn't have a fifth wheel and not have this tailgate. It makes life so much easier and I don't have to worry about the thing getting ripped off.
As far as the camera goes, I don't think there is anyone yet who has linked the truck to trailer yet. It would be great to have a camera on the back of the trailer for backing up, interfaced to the cable that normally would go to the tailgate camera.

Custom Flow tailgates, is what I've had before, and will probably have again.... I was just hoping for newer options. But, this is still a good option.
Smokie, looks like your pin extender worked well for you, but a word of caution should be added. And that is before someone buys this they should check with there fifth wheel manufacturer to see if they will warrant this addition to the pin box. It has been noted on the RvNet that there have been issues with the extra stress put on the frame causing stress cracks and even failure to the frame members. Just an FYI for anyone looking to add a pin extender, just check first so there won't be any regrets later if something were to happen.
Damage to the 5th wheel. If there is anything visible from the outside it will be at the rear corner of the area that hooks to your truck (usually a bed in above that area) Stress cracks appear in that area.
I've seen stress cracks without pin extenders. The conversion hitch's also put a lot of stress in that area. Conversion is an add-on to convert a 5th wheel pin to a goose neck ball.
