Bump. I also started a thread in the Excursion and Superduty forums asking if someone is in your area who might be able to help you with AE. Hope someone is close by and can help.

If you can't get anyone closer, I am in East Highland by San Bernardino and Redlands. I think that is about 1:45 or so from you. But I have two problems. One is I do taxes and am buried right now, and two is while I have an AE, I barely know how to use it. I'm sure I could get some help with the AE if I ask, but I will have a tough time getting out to you. I do know how to get the trouble codes if there are any. And how to do the cylinder contribution test, and buzz test. But that is about the end of my expertise. If you happen to be coming my way, we can sure throw the AE on and take a shot at it!

Thanks for the offer Terry, but I'm afraid that's a bit far for us to travel at the moment.
It's my wife's truck, and she's nervous about driving it around town, let alone on a long commute.
I'm located in Acton, which is right in between Santa Clarita and the Antelope Valley, off of the 14 freeway.
If anybody is in my area that could assist with troubleshooting this problem, it would be greatly appreciated!
BiggSean, I'm in Camarillo and have a code reader, but not an AE. Can I be of any help? Not familiar with the 7.3, but we could hook it up and see what code pops up.

Terry, if you wouldnt mind, and i'll pay you for the testing, but i'd DIG to have my ride hooked up, and have an idea whats going on with her....i'm in Smellsomemore(Elsinore), or if you got any seadoos that need some attention, i tool on those as well.
As to the OP, if i had an AE, i'd roll up, bud. Always in Whittier area.
