Spark Plugs ARE Important, Right?

So my stepson tells me his car has been getting a random misfire code and wanted to know if I could help him figure out the problem.
It didn't take very long to solve it for him.

In this case, yes they are very important. I wonder if they were ever changed..or how someone let them go that far...

It's a 2000 and he's owned it for two years. To me they looked like factory OEM plugs.

If they're original they would have 145K miles on them.

Just did mine. Pretty sure they were original at 154,000. They didn't look that bad, but they were pretty terrible. Put the E3's in, hopefully I won't have to do them again. Tough job!!

Thanks Dan, did a search and found it but again, appreciate the response. Alloro, sorry for the jack and reps to both of you guys.. Going to dig into it soon, my 12 year olds hand will fit back there and help to get that plug out with me.. Update:: Somehow the boot popped off enough, it wasn't seated all the way in the hole but pulled the plug anyway and replaced it just in case it was faulty, thanks again.

E3 diamond fire spark plugs. Supposed to be the best out there right now. They are doing good for me. One thing I like, I don't think there is any way for them to be gapped wrong unless you crushed the end. Look really well built.

I am not saying that the E3 are the worst but they are way over rated. Those TV sales pitches work great for some. To get what E 3 claims, you need to get an ignition system in your vehicle that will push the power as seen on those ads. It seems like everytime a new plug comes out, there is alot of BS that some people are tricked into believing.
