Replacing Steering Column
I have a 1995 F150 4x4 automatic. The shifter lever is broke as well as the steering wheel is missing most of the buttons. Was thinking it would be better to replace the whole steering column. Anyone done this? What is involved?

Mine was a 88 but what I noticed the hardest thing for me was under the hood theres these 2 metal bars with a peices of rubber you have to connect it was pretty hard but besides that was like he said

Removing the lever that enables you to get the keys out is a smart move. Removing the pin that prevents the wheel from being turned is not - because it's useful if your truck has to be towed with the rear-end up in the air 
When I did my column over, I actually replaced that pin with one I machined out of tool steel to make it stronger just for that purpose.
