Here is my $950 wonder . It looks to be a real good survivor for resto modding on a tight budget. I still have a $1000 to get it up to DD standards and give it a few up-grades.
Specs,
352 2 barrel. I believe it to be rather freshly rebuilt as does the guy I got it from. Its passed through some hands so the story gets down to detective work.
I plan to give it a first rate tune up with a pertronix kit, a blaster coil, and some thick plug wire. Dual 2" glasspack exhaust is a must.
I will probily do a C6 swap really soon with a 2500 rpm convertor so my wife can drive it. Add in some 2.73 gears so hwy cruising is easy. 3.73's are just a bit deep.
Remove the headliner, re-install the spot lights, and add in some sort of radio for the long comutes. Then if money is there install some new weather stripping.
Maybe drop it a couple of inches all around. I am not sure on this part yet. Just up in the air. I am going to do the CV swap in next winter when I have some down time. So I will probily end up rolling it stock height for the mean time.
I pretty much will do the last of any as I see them up-grades when the CV swap comes. Becouse so much is going to change I don't wanna do it twice.
Nice, I'm glad to see it was sold to some one who will fix it up. I saw it on craigslist for a while when I was looking for a truck. Price was right, I was just so set on getting a 6 cylinder. Congrats on your new toy.

I got up there earlier then I thought I was going to be, and luckily I did. There were 3 others guy who came to look at it just as we started talking money. If I didn't buy it then it would probily be in Vegas right now.
The outside looks good, but if you look under the truck. Thats where the magic lies. It looks like its half the age under the truck. This truck must of had a really babied life in the high desert. there is almost no surface rust under the truck.
I was supposed to go look at a 74 F250 Super Cab, but the guy was jerking me around so I went there first.
