Need to do a steering column and gear box swap on my 64 f100 2wd. Id like to keep the straight axle and manual steering. Other than stock components, has anyone done this or have any ideas?
I relalize this article is for up to 1960, but I have heard that the same applies to the straight axle slicks. It says that you can switch to manual steering using the Toyota box or you can use the power steering box with a pump and other hardware. It also talks about some of the other options for straight axle trucks in the beginnning like rack and pinion, gm box, ect.
