ya i realized that after looking at the pics i took. haha. im not the orig im 3rd but its always been dealer maintained.
im sure they could have.
and trannys out gonna pull the t-case off tom and get it out from under the truck. that was a task being that this is my first e4od drop. but that 4ft extension w swivel made my life soooo much easier.

sooooo maybe when they put the e40d 4wd tranny on at the dealership the did this... i have alot of paperwork on this truck and cant find anything on the tranny except normal maintnece(sc).....so not to sure. maybe a joke at the plant... ha? ha?
Salvage yards put that stuff on engines and trannys when they resale.. Thats what it looks like to me!
Hey.. when you go to put that tranny back in.. put a jack on the front of your engine and jack it up a little.. get some tilt on the bloc to remount the tranny a whole lot easier! Dont know if you ever tried that, but its something I use!
hahaha i seperated it under the truck and drug the t-case out of the way. it alone ways as much as a honda tranny. lol.
and for the e4od. damn things heavy as hell. had to grab it today at the shop and put it on the bench. damn.!
so just got off the phone with my tranny guy. hes rebuilding the enitre tranny new clutch packs planetary shaft valve bodies. full rebuild. even got the filter for me.!
