meh, i dont think thats even light duty 4wheelin round these parts..
the only section in that entire film were 4WD would even be needed was the deep sand.
otherwise pretty much anything could travel those roads..
sorry no sale. i'd rather have seen em actualy wheelin to rugged/remote areas with that camper, that would make a better promo video. the one shown almost looks like a poser video.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I think that would be a blast myself. I am sure those can go through a lot more than your average camper/RV - powered or trailer.
Yea, I thought the "tent" on the jeep was pretty funny myself. I thought it was a knock-off of the VW camper until the flap kept on going around.
I thought that was the style of vehicle. Oh well, live and learn. Either way its a slick concept...except for the $200K or so to get one. I think Ill keep my cap on the truck with my wood sleeping platform instead...
Interesting. Several years ago, Four Wheeler magazine used to follow Gary and Monika Wescott and their Turtle Expedition. They have traveled all over the world for the past few decades and have done so in some pretty heavily modified F-350s and now an F-550. Pretty neat reading about it even though they're not using EarthRoamers. The basic concept is the same and they have some super neat equipment.
