Now remember I only have the knowledge from self taught anguish. I do not do auto repair for a living or I would starve. I love to work on my truck and mg. This is just my opinion from the comon shade tree Guy.

We've all had bad experiences at one time or another from which we form our opinions and preferences. Me? I won't eat bbq potato chips, tune a 2G Rochester carb, or buy a 73 or newer GM product.

Edelbrock Carbs must utilize a fuel pressure regulator. Do you have one? Your factory pump is too much for the carb.

Drop it back to 3-3.5 and see if it helps. You may be lifting the needle valve and flooding the motor.
