Shock issue

I recently just bought a 2000 Ford F250 Super Duty. The front driver side shocks have a little play (basically wiggle) in them while the other side is very stiff. It seems as if the driver side is relying on the leaf springs and not on the shocks. Is that normal? I am new to this all so still learning. Thanks.

Both sides should be the same. Could just be one bad shock. I had just the driver side go once. Replace both fronts and you will be set.

Chuppie, did you replace the shocks? If so, what was the cost? I think I need to replace front and back on my 99 F250.

Whitsitt, I have not replaced my shock yet. I am trying to find someone that rebuilds shocks.

Why would you rebuild them. Shock's are not very expensive to replace.
