I get a new one every year for my job, they have a great suspension IMO. My experience has been that their transmissions have issues rather regularly.

I am not familiar with the 500. I do have an '08 Arctic Cat 366 and it seems to be an ok machine for my use. I am a mellow trail rider. It has the auto transmission and independent rear suspension which provides for a very nice ride. However, there is a common problem with the shift linkage...it falls out of adjustment quite often, and if the machine is even slightly out of level,(i.e., on even the slightest slope) it is difficult to shift. When I say slight slope, I am talking about as little as an inch difference between the front and rear. I have heard, but have not confirmed, that the linkage on the 500 has the same problem. You might ask your AC dealer about the linkage. Otherwise, I have been pleased with the 366, can only imagine the 500 to be a step or two above. Good luck.
