just curious, are you calling it the best because it comes up #1 on your google search, or is it the best from your experience with dealing with different hitch set ups.

Due to my experience with different hitch set ups. I was the vice president of Hensley Mfg for 10 years.

alright, we could have saved a couple of post going back and forth...do you want to explain why one is better than the other. i'm not being a smart ***. i'm very happy with my set up and would like to learn why one is better than the other. posting a statement like "used to be but not anymore" really serves no purpose. an explanation helps...again, not being a smart ***, just looking for good info. thanks.

That's the reason for me being vague. I don't want to step on any forum rule toes. I'm not trying to be smart either... just attempting to clarify. I use my real name on all forums for that very purpose. I'm not hiding anything.

Well you sort of, kinda did when you hyperlinked best trailer sway control hitch.

Why don't you contact FTE Jason and ask about becoming a site sponsor. It could be very beneficial for you and your company. Otherwise I will have to remove your "vague" hints.

We went through the same pro's and con's when we bought our new 5er a few years back. A 35' tt model had the space we needed but seemed more suited for a seasonal site. They had the same size floor plan in a 32' fifth. ( 35'tt has the same box length as a 32 5th) Then when we consider what's over the bed it ends up being about the same as a 29'tt when figuring the overall length of truck and trailer. Our old tt was under 30', I didn't want to go much bigger with the long trips we had planned so more trailer in less space really sold us.

We lost the p/u bed space but have plenty of camper storage. The high ceiling inside makes it even better, especially in the shower. We also have the short bed p/u, been cross country twice and as mentioned by others, in all sorts of tight spots without a problem. Just need to be aware of tight turns and the height at times.

Tows nice and straight. Maneuvers well. Easy to forget it's there.
