I've had a slow leak in my power steering system since I got my '65 SWB last April. Finally took the time today to figure out where the leak is coming from. The drips were coming from this connector (don't know if this was the inlet or the outlet for the PS fluid) which is right under the fill cap. Once I pulled the connector off, I saw that there is an o-ring on the connector. Do you guys think this o-ring is the culprit of the leak and needs to be replaced?

I seriously doubt it is the O-ring, but usually is the seal between the plastic reservoir and the body. Try re-tightening it, but be careful, or you may crack the plastic body. Double check to see if it isn't cracked already, too. Fortunately, your PS pump is the latest style, so it is relatively inexpensive to fix with a seal kit, or just replace. Used '78 and later in Ford F100. F150 and F-250, possibly higher.
Have same issue w/ power steering unit on the 65. It's an occasional drip and not sure whether coming from the inlet or outlet, been meaning to check it out when weather improves. Don't recall seeing an 'o' ring at the fitting, perhaps that's my problem. I tend to favor replacing a part, particularly since it's only a few cents, to eliminate it as a possible problem.
Look to the double inverted flared end for cracks or debris. I would replace the line as they are reasonably cheap. The O ring is a dirt seal and not a pressure seal. The pressure is contained at the double inverted flair connection same as a brake line.

I did tighten the nut when I first found the leak.....it still leaked. I thought the plastic could be cracked as well, but have not seen or felt a crack. Since the o-ring (per garbz) is not a pressure seal, do you guys think maybe I should try a little teflon tape on the threads and tighten her back up??
No, that really won't help. If it is dripping down the outside, your problem is with the reservoir, as it is not sealing to the internal pump body. It has two seals. One is a big O-ring that seals it at the front, where the body is round, and the other is right there at the valve. The valve is what actually hold the reservoir on the pump, and seals it there at the same time. In your picture, you have removed the pressure valve out of the pump, but did not remove the power steering pressure line. Remove the line from the valve, and I think it will become a bit clearer.
Ah! Just took a peek at the fitting and I didn't even see the second rubber ring behind the O-ring. It's so thin and shiny that the light I have under the hood kinda drowned it out....
That ring is pretty loose and I could see where it could get bound up and not seat properly when tightened.
Can I get a replacement for that rubber piece? Should I just remove and replace the entire brass fitting? Is that a part I can get pretty easy? Still don't think the plastic is cracked.

If I replace the entire line, I assume that includes all the fittings, correct?
Got the entire line in my hand. One thing I noticed is that the tube that enters the brass fitting is loose. This should be a compression fitting just like the opposite end, correct? The tube is not fully compressed by nut. I have tried to tighten the nut, but it will not budge.
Ok....pulled the pump. One thing I noticed right off the bat is that the reservoir is not on the pump straight, this the hole does not line up properly. The rubber gasket was probably not seating up to the metal properly (unless I shifted the reservoir getting the pump off).
Any tips on getting this reservoir off?
Did not see any cracks in the plastic.......
Also, is there a part number somewhere on the pump so I kno what I have. I see a number on the plastic reservoir, but I'm thinking that is the part number for the reservoir only.
The first few threads of the female end of the pressure line connection to the pump have a pinhead (or a little bigger) sized chip of metal missing. You can see it right at about 10 o'clock in the picture.
