I thought the warranty states that they will REPLACE defective parts. Seems the harness is defective to me.

nick truck, however. . . . . .ken
Sorry guys . . . . . I meant the high pressure fuel line.

update

Got my truck back from my dealer. They had it all week while I was on vacation. The mechanic put over 300 miles on it, driving it home and back, but they could not get it to throw the codes again. The code was P1292. Something to do with an injector high side short. The tech could not find anything wrong with the injector or the harness. Said I would have to just wait for it to do it again. I know it will be in the middle of a snowstorm high in the mountains! Pretty frustrating.

Wink

I've put almost 800 miles on since the event (1100 total miles on truck) and haven't had any trouble yet. Still have my fingers crossed.

My guess is a lucky twist and tug on a loose or improperly seated connector has resulted in an unknown repair.

This sounds very similar to the problem I had about a week ago. No check engine lights for me though. I've gone 500+ miles since it happened and it's been fine.

Gee, I beg to differ with you about customer service. I went to the dealer 2 weeks ago about a problem and they gave me fords 800 customer service number to contact. Within that hour I contacted them and was told a tech would return my call with in 72 hours. A week past so I returned to the dealer to see if they had been contacted which they were not. They had me call the 800 number again as they would have it in the computer log as a complaint. Second call to them they had no record of the first call. Took a new complaint and gave me another complaint number and said some one would make contact me within 72 hrs. Again its been 4 days and no call from them!!! To my account they don't seem to be making any type of rapid responds. This is not customer service!!!
